Gabrielly Long Counselling
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Welcome to Gabrielly Long Counselling. Before booking a session, please take a moment to read the following Terms of Service. These terms explain how counselling sessions work, what you can expect and the responsibilities we share in creating a safe, respectful and supportive therapeutic relationship.
By booking or participating in a counselling session, you acknowledge these terms. Your informed consent to counselling will also be discussed and confirmed separately.
1. About the Service
Gabrielly Long Counselling provides professional individual online counselling services in English and Portuguese for women aged 18 and over, with a focus on supporting those navigating personal, emotional and relationship challenges.
Sessions are provided by Gabrielly Long, , a qualified counsellor who has completed a Diploma of Counselling and is registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) as a Registered Counsellor (Level 1).
Counselling offers a confidential and non-judgemental space to explore personal challenges, emotions, relationships and life experiences.
Counselling is a collaborative process. While I am committed to providing professional support and practical strategies, individual experiences and outcomes vary, and specific results cannot be guaranteed.
Counselling services are not a substitute for emergency medical care, psychiatric treatment or other specialist services where these are required.
2. Online Counselling Sessions
All sessions are conducted online via Zoom.
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have:
A stable internet connection.
A suitable device with audio and video capabilities.
A private, quiet and safe space where they can speak freely.
An environment free from unnecessary interruptions.
Sessions are generally scheduled for 60 minutes, unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
Clients must be physically located somewhere the counsellor is legally and professionally permitted, and appropriately insured, to provide services.
3. Appointments and Bookings
Appointments can be scheduled through the online booking system.
Once a booking is completed, you will receive a confirmation email with your appointment details and instructions for joining your session.
Please ensure the contact information provided during booking is accurate.
A complimentary 15-minute introductory call is available for prospective clients. This call provides an opportunity to discuss your needs, ask questions and determine whether my counselling services may be appropriate for you.
The introductory call is not a counselling session.
4. Fees and Payments
Session fees are displayed at the time of booking and are charged in Australian dollars (AUD). Payment for counselling sessions must be made in full prior to the appointment, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon in advance.
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise and plans sometimes change.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.
The proposed cancellation arrangements are:
More than 24 hours' notice: You may cancel or reschedule without a cancellation fee.
Less than 24 hours' notice: A cancellation fee of up to 50% of the session price may apply.
Missed appointments without notice: The full session fee may apply.
If I need to cancel an appointment, you will be offered an alternative time or a refund of any payment made for the affected session.
Exceptional circumstances, including emergencies or unexpected illness, will be considered individually.
Cancellation fees will be disclosed before booking and applied reasonably, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
6. Confidentiality and Privacy
Your privacy is an essential part of the counselling relationship.
Information shared during sessions is treated as confidential and handled in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws and professional ethical obligations.
There are circumstances where confidentiality may need to be limited, including:
Where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
Where there is a serious threat to your life, health or safety, or that of another person, and disclosure is legally permitted.
Where disclosure is otherwise permitted with your informed consent.
Where information is shared for professional supervision in accordance with applicable ethical and privacy requirements.
I will explain the limits of confidentiality as part of the informed consent process.
Personal information and counselling records are stored securely, with access restricted to authorised persons.
For further details, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
7. Communication Between Sessions
Communication outside scheduled sessions is intended primarily for administrative matters, including bookings, payments and appointment changes.
Email and online messaging are not suitable for emergency support or ongoing counselling between sessions.
Messages will be responded to within a reasonable timeframe during business hours. Immediate responses cannot be guaranteed.
8. Client Responsibilities
To help maintain a safe and productive counselling experience, clients are encouraged to:
Provide accurate and relevant information when appropriate.
Attend appointments on time.
Participate openly and at their own pace.
Respect professional boundaries.
Communicate concerns about the counselling process whenever possible.
Ensure all session fees are paid in accordance with the agreed payment terms.
You are always free to discuss your comfort level, ask questions and decide what you feel ready to share.
You may choose to discontinue counselling at any time.
9. Technology and Online Security
Reasonable precautions are taken to protect client privacy during online sessions.
However, no online communication platform can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted service.
If technical difficulties interrupt a session, we will attempt to reconnect or agree on a suitable alternative arrangement.
If a significant technical issue prevents the session from proceeding, an appropriate rescheduling or refund arrangement will be offered.
Sessions must not be audio-recorded, video-recorded or photographed by either party without prior discussion and explicit consent from everyone involved.
10. Emergency and Crisis Support
Gabrielly Long Counselling is not an emergency or crisis response service.
If you are experiencing an immediate mental health crisis, are at risk of harming yourself or someone else, or require urgent assistance, please contact an appropriate emergency or crisis service.

11. Professional Boundaries and Referrals
Counselling is provided within the counsellor's professional competence, training and ethical responsibilities.
If your needs would be better supported by another professional or specialist service, appropriate referral options may be discussed with you.
I reserve the right to decline or discontinue services where they fall outside my professional scope, where safe and effective counselling cannot reasonably be provided, or where professional boundaries are seriously compromised.
Where appropriate, reasonable notice, referral information and continuity-of-care considerations will be provided.
12. Feedback and Complaints
Your feedback is welcome and helps maintain a respectful and supportive counselling experience.
If you have concerns about the service you receive, you are encouraged to raise them directly so we can explore a suitable resolution.
You may also contact the Australian Counselling Association or a relevant independent complaints authority if you wish to raise a professional concern.

These Terms of Service may be updated periodically to reflect changes in services, policies or legal requirements.
